About the Artist
Scott Baumgartner works in a hybrid of disciplines simultaneously—painting, sculpture, photography, and glass. He takes a contemporary artisan approach to landscape painting and stained glass design and production that reflects the personalities and character of their unique materials. With more than 25 years of experience as a fine artist and craftsman, he brings a singular visionary aesthetic to his work.
The landscape series are works on wood of multiple layers of Venetian plaster. Raw pigment is suspended in each layer and compressed, then finished with resin.
The stained glass works are crafted with handblown and antique glass created by artisan glassblowers from Europe and the U.S.
